In compliance with the Directives of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, regarding the unexceptional ban on the use of Police Spy Vehicle plates Number by Vehicle owners across the federation.
The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command, CP Ayuba N. Elkanah has directed Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to ensure that all Police SPY Plates Number currently in use in the state weather authorised or otherwise are confiscated with immediate effect, as all authorisations are hereby revoked indefinitely.
The Commissioner of Police further directed that, Police officers and officers of other security agencies attached to VIPs who use SPY Plates Number in the state should ensure compliance with the IGP's order or face arrest for disobedience to lawful order.
The Commissioner of Police while appealing for continuous support and cooperation from all and sundry in this regard, cautioned the enforcing Police officers against human rights violation, extortion and other unethical conduct, as Police Taskforce team has been constituted and mandated to go round the 14 LGAs and ensure total compliance.
