Zamfara State Wife Governor Hajjiya Huriyya Lawal has distribute food items and clothing material to 20,000 less privileged household across the fourteen local government areas of the state.
Wife of the Governor flagged-off the distribution of the Ramadan welfare package in Gummi, Bukkuyum, Anka,Talata Mafara,Bakura and Maradun,Local Government Areas of the state.
During the flagged-off ceremony, the governor's wife said the food items distributed includes Rice, Millet, Guinea Corn, Maize, Sugar, Spaghetti,Beans, Ground nut oil, and Wrappers.
Hajiya Huriyya explained that, all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure that, the gesture reach the target beneficiaries.
Wife of the Governor added that, twenty thousand households to benefit from the assistance across the Fourteen Local Government Areas of the State.
She charged the committee saddled with the responsibility of the food distribution to ensure justice in the distribution of the food items to the beneficiaries
She called on them to fear Allah because it is a duty bestowed on them, and if they contravene and found going against the laid down rules of sharing they will face the consequences of their action.
She reiterated government's determination to continue to support and ensure the welfare and well-being of the citizens.
She called on the people of the state to use the period of the Ramadan fast and undertake fervent prayers for Allah's benevolence to bring an end to the security challenges and economic hardship in the state and the country at large.
She maintained that the administration of her husband, Dauda Lawal is people's oriented government where welfare and laudable development programmes are assured.
