Nigerian Association Of Women In Agriculture zamfara state chapter has presented an award of honour to the Wife of Zamfara Governor, Hajiya Huriya for her efforts in empowering women in the state.
The coordinator of the association zamfara state chapter Hajiya Shema'u Nalado said the first lady has deserved for the award, because she has touched the lives of women in the state through disbursement of cash to them in order to promote their small businesses, and become self reliant.
Hajiya Shema'u Nalado further emphasised that, Hajiya Huriya and her husband Dr Dauda Lawal have came with a mission to rescue the state which was left behind interns of interprenue and other factors.
In her speaking the state secretary Nigerian association of women in agriculture, in state Mallama Khadija Mahaarazu said NAWIA has trained women not only in farming activities, but in different skills.
She however announced that, whoever wants to join the association the door is always open, and they are ever ready to guide anyone who wants to start poultry farming, and skills, acquisition.
