In an efforts to improve the standard of education, the zamfara state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawallen Maradun has approved the sum of one hundred million naira( 100 M) for funitures to both primary and secondary schools across the state.
This was disclosed by the Chairman Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Dan madamin Maradun during the flag off distribution of chairs at Government Girls Secondary School Janyau and Gidan Roba in Gusau metropolis.
Dan madamin Maradun said considering the important of education in the society, the government under the leadership of Governor Matawalle has already paid all counterpart macthing grant.
According to him, many schools spent over 12 years without chairs their students are sitting down on the floor during lectures.
In their separate speeches, the principal government girls secondary school Janyau Hajiya Sa'adatu Almajir and her counterpart Hajiya Hawa'u Muhmmad Nafaru principal Galadima government girls secondary school Gidan Roba, thanked the chairman for the distribution of the items, according to them is a welcome development to the educational sector.
Hajiya Sa'adatu and Hajiya Hawa'u assured the chairman that they would do everything possible for proper use of the chairs given to their schools.
