ZSUBEB has conducted its final zonal quiz competition for livestock 2020/2021 for primary and junior secondary schools in the state

The competition held at  Teachers Training and Development Center Bypass, Gusau,  the state capital and was organized through Agric Education training program (AETP) of the Board.

In his welcome address,  the Director school services of the Board, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, said introducing school to farm initiative to basic Education schools would  no doubt achieve the goals and the aspirations of the SDG #2 by encouraging and inculcating practical Agricultural knowledge to basic Education schools and prepare for life-long learning which are part of the objectives of the UBE program.

He also called on  stakeholders in education to contribute their quoter towards  achieving agricultural practice  in schools for the success of the program and better society in future.

According to the public relation officer two, Of the board comrade Ibrahim Musa Maize said, At the end of the quiz competition for  primary section level, 

Gusau zone took the first position with 12 marks,

Anka zone second position with 10 marks while 

Kaura Namoda zone  clinched third  position with 7 marks,

At Junior secondary school section, 

Anka zone took the first position, followed by 

Gusau zone   second position while  Talata mafara zone took  the third position.

 Those in attendance were  representatives of Commissioner ministry of Education, chairman zamfara state Universal basic Education Board and other important dignitaries in the state.

NEWLY COMMISSIONER OF POLICE POSTED TO ZAMFARA STATE COMMAND ASSUMES DUTY.

CP Mohammed Bunu has assumed duty as the 33rd Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command this followed the latest redeployment of Senior Police officers by the Inspector General of Police.

The brief history of the newly Commissioner. CP Mohammed Bunu was born on 6th June, 1964 in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno, Borno State. He attended Gubio Primary School in 1970  1976 and between 1976  1981 he attended Government Secondary School, Monguno, in Borno State.

After completing his primary and secondary school.

 According to police public relation officer Zamfara state police command ASP Abubakar Said the commissioner was admitted into the prestigious University of Maiduguri in 1981-1986 where he was graduated with BA (Hons) ISLAMIC STUDIES/HISTORY. He also obtained M.sc in public Administration. 

In 1992 the CP Mohammed Bunu was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as Cadet ASP and was trained at the Nigeria Police Academy Kaduna annex, where he was successfully passed out on 4th December, 1993 and was posted to Niger State Police Command where he served in several capacity.

The Commissioner of Police has attended many Courses/ Workshops and Seminars within and outside the country which includes;

Advanced Detective Course, Police Staff College Jos.

SPOs CPTU Training, Police Staff College Jos.

Logic Data Computer Training Centre, Ikeja Lagos from 8th Oct  15th Nov, 2002

Obtained many saminar within and outside the country,  including West African Network of Anti-Corruption Institution (NACIWA) in Benin Republic Cotonou from 12th  16th July, 2016.

The commissioner have the working experience in the course of his duty he worked in several Commands/ Formations; Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) Rijau Division in Niger State from Feb, 1995  Aug 1996.

Staff Officer Junior (SOJ) Niger State Police Command from Aug, 1996  Apr, 1997.

O/C Anti-Robbery Section Niger State Police Command from Apr, 1997  Nov, 1999.Divisional Police Officer in many Divisions in Niger State Police Command.Commandant police secondary school, Port Harcourt.

Head General Investigation, EFCC, Abuja.

 He was promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police he served at different capacity including;

Police College,Ikeja,Lagos.

Area Commander Mubi Adamawa State Police Command 2016.Commandant EFCC  Academy,Abuja,2016, ACP Investment Co-operative Lagos 2019.

At the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police, he held the following positions;

DCP State CID Plateau State Police, Jos 2019-2022.

DCP DOPS Zone 10 Sokoto on 7th Sep, 2022  30th Dec, 2022.

When he was promoted to the amiable rank of Commissioner of Police, due to his capability the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba psc+, NPM, fdc, CFR deemed him fit and posted him as the 33rd Commissioner of Police Zamfara State.
