The Africa Democratic Congress ADC zamfara state chapter has today flagged off the training of 200 youth and women on different skills acquisition.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the state chairman of the party Hon. Kabir Garba Gusau said the essence of the program is that, the ADC in the state has look at the rate of unemployment especially among the women which cause many divorce to some married women.
He said the gesture was inline with the ADC mission 2023 to curtail the menace of insecurity, poverty, hunger, unemployment among women and teeming young generation,
Honorable Kabir Garba urged the beneficiaries to concentrate more on skills acquisitions rather than relying on white kola jobs, adding that it is high time for women and youths to engage themselves in different skills in order to be self reliant and useful members to the society.
In her remarks the ADC state women Hajiya Maryam Abdullahi said the program will reduce redundancy and create job opportunities to the women in the state, stating that the skills that are going to be trained include tailoring, detergent's, Henner decorations and soap making, among others.
In their separates goodwill massages ADC Governorship candidate running mate comrade Jafaru Salisu, and candidate of senator seat for Zamfara Central Nuhu Garba Tunau, Gusau\ Tsafe federal consituency candidate Honorable Aliyu Sani Tsafe and Gusau1 constituency candidate Honorable Yusuf Aliyu Galadima urged the participants to make sure they concentrate on what they are going to be taught in order to benefit from the gesture.
