Zamfara state college of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST) Tsafe has received the blessings of the “Rescue mission” of the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal who flagged off total renovation of the college.
The renovation project under World Bank’s NG-CARES programme is aimed at revamping the standard of CHST to compute with its counterparts in the country in a bid to uplift the educational sector of the state inline with agenda of the present administration of Governor Dauda Lawal.

According to the statement said the provost College of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST) Tsafe, Alhaji Hamisu Yusuf Tsafe expressed confidence and appreciation to the state government under the examplary leadership of Governor Dauda Lawal said the college is rescued from total dilapidation.
"The state government’s gracious consideration and approval to renovate and modenise this all important institution is a great breakthrough in the Health and educational sectors of the state which will inturn improve healthcare services in all nooks and crannies of the and by extension the county.” The Provost said
The provost thanked the Governor Dauda Lawal led government for gesture, expressed optimism that the entire state is moving to a greater height to rub shoulder with other developed states of the federation.
He solicited additional manpower more especially in the junior cader that include securities and labourers to enable the instruction function effectively to improve Primary health care services in rural and urban communities.
Earlier in his speech for the flag off, the executive governor of Zamfara State Dauda Lawal said his administration is determined and committed to revamp the state in all ramifications.
He noted that the renovation of the state owned college of Health Sciences and Technology (CHST) will be executed under the NG-CARES programme.
“We intend to ensure prudent use of the NG-CARES funds in line with the processes and procedures of the World Bank so that our public institutions are improved and our people gainfully employed in the process.
The governor who was accompanied by top government functionaries during the ceremony at the CHST said the flag off marks the beginning of several other public works projects across the state under the NG-CARES that include schools, hospitals, and rural roads that were selected for renovation and rehabilitation in line with the World Bank's prescribed requirements.
He also admonished that, the state government will ensure judicious use of the fund inline with the processes and procedure of the bank so that public institutions will be improved and people generally benefitted from the programme.
In a remark, the state Commissioner Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Abdulmalik Gajam revealed that the college will benefit with 19 projects worth Three hundred million Naira (N300,000,000.00).
