The newly posted Commissioner to the ministry for women and children affairs Hajiya Zainab Lawal Gummi has has assumed office.
The commissioner who was accompanied by the hundreds of relatives and political supporters was received by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry Dr Barira Ibrahim Bagobiri and all the Directors of the ministry.
The permanent secretary assured the commissioner that, on behalf of the entire staff of the ministry they are ready to give her support and coopporation in order to promote the ministry forward
This was contained in a statement signed by public relation officer of the ministry Mallam Suleman Isah Gusau and made it available to the newsmen in Gusau the state capital.
According the statement said Hajia Zainab promised to work hand in hand with the Office of the First Lady Hajia Aisha Bello Matawallen Maradun.
Honourable Zainab who was overwhelmed by the reception accorded her said this tenure would work towards enhancing Ministry for Women and Children Affairs and other sub-sectors of the ministry.
She also assured that, she would work harder to make sure that she uplift the life of women and children in the state adding that she will be committed to improving life of women
and children in the state.
Zainab Gummi however Commended Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun for giving her another opportunity to serve on this capacity.
She described Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle as a leader who is passionate about uplifting the standard of living of the people across the state, prestressing that she will not relant her efforts towards the success of the ministry.
