The National Union Of Road Transport Workers Zamfara state chapter has distanced itself from a person that committed fornication Publically inside Gusau Motor Park, saying the person is not their member.
The chairman of the union Alhaji Hamisu Kasuwar Daji made this known in an interview with journalists today, in Gusau the state capital.
He said, his members are law abiding and also follow the rules and regulations governing their union.
According to him, "we neither know the person nor did we know where he comes from",adding that his members, on hearing the incidence happening inside the Motor park, immediately rushed to the scene and apprehended the culprits and handed them over to the state Hisbah Commission for necessary action.
"I was shocked when i heard that somebody was caught publically indulged in acts of adultery, and regretably " within the premises of the motor park' he said. "But fortunately, I discovered that he is not our member," The question then is how has this barbaric act happened while i know you are always vigilance inside motor park", he queried.
According to him, his members told him that the bad act happened in the night while they left for routine vigilance in all the nocks and crannies of the Garage. He said.
The chairman therefore said that his union will fish out all those bad eggs that are trying to tarnish the good image of Zamfara state motor park, and that they will continue to work hand in hand with the Police that are deployed inside garage, to arrest anybody found wanting.
He said already they have screened food sellers Shop owners and anybody that has business to do inside Gusau motor park, but to his great surprise somebody from no where infiltrated and caused harvoc.
Recall that last week, a man and woman who publicly had sex in the garage had first bragged between themselves about who is more ‘morally-corrupt’.
They both claimed to be more ‘naughty’ than each other. And in the process, they both dared each other to undress and have sex in the glare of the general public.
Meanwhile, the officials of the Zamfara Hisbah Commission have arraigned the two ‘depraved lovers’ before the City Higher Shariah Court in Kanwuri, Gusau.
The Hisbah has already arraigned the two public sex offenders in court and are expected that Sharia law will be applied to the case, either for fornication or adultery because their acts contravene Islamic laws and the cultural traditions of the people of the State.
