The Ahead of 2023 general election the Zamfara Commissioner of Police, Kolo Yusuf has assured adequate security before, during and after 2023 elections in the state.
The Police Commissioner who is also the state chairman Inter - Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) gave the assurance in Gusau on Tuesday at an event for signing of peace accord by political parties in the state ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The commissioner who chaired the session said the meeting was aimed at stimulating healthy interaction and mutual discussion on matters relating to the security and overall conduct of the February 2023 General Elections.
He explained that, the ICCES is an adhoc committee of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), made up of the various security agencies to ensure free, fair and credible election.

In his remarks the resident electoral commissioner professor Sa'idu Ahmad Babura, urged the political parties and their candidate to conduct their activities in line with the process of the electoral act.
Babura also commended the commissioner of police Mr Kolo Yusuf and other members of ( ICCES) for taking protective measures of ensure peaceful conduct of all process ahead of forthcoming2023 general election
