Zamfara State Hajj Commission has successfully airlifted Three Thousand One Hundred and Two intending pilgrims to the Holyland this week.

The intending pilgrims were airlifted by flynas Saudi Arabia Airline at Sultan Abubakar the Third International Airport to Madina.

This contained in a statement signed by the public relation officer Mallam Bello Musa Sidi and made it available to the newsmen in Gusau the state capital.

According to the statement said the success recorded was as a result of the early commencement of this year's Hajj preparation by the commission.

With this development, all Zamfara State intending pilgrims that arrived Madina have conducted their visitations to important places in Madina City.

The state last flight which arrived Madina last Sunday comprised Zamfara State Government Delegation for the 2023 Hajj led by its Chairman Alhaji Musa Mallaha (Talban Gusau) and some of the Management Staff of Zamfara Hajj Commission left Madina today for makkah after completion of their visitations in Madina.

It could be recalled that the present leadership of Governor Dr Dauda Lawal constituted a 5-Man Committee as Zamfara State Government Delegation for 2023 Hajj under the leadership of Alhaji Musa Mallaha who serves as Chairman and Dr Aliyu Adamu Bormo as Committee Secretary.

Before leaving the country, the committee conducted series of meetings with Management Staff of Zamfara State Hajj Commission in regards to this year's Hajj.

This year, Zamfara State has been in the forefront in airlifting of its intending pilgrims to Holyland across the country as other states have been up and doing towards ensuring the airlift of their intending pilgrims before the closing date.

As the time of this report, all Zamfara State intending pilgrims moved to Makkah waiting for Hajj exercise.

To this end, the Committee Chairman Alhaji Musa Mallaha called on the state intending pilgrims to abide by the Saudi Arabia Hajj authority guidelines right from Makka, Munah, Arafat, Muzdalifa and Jamrat with a view to conducting acceptable ibadat.

GOVERNOR LAWAL VISITS TSAFE, LOCAL TOWN, REITERATES COMMITMENT TO TACKLE INSECURITY

In his commitment to tackling security challenge in the state Governor Dauda Lawal, on Thursday, reiterated the commitment of his Government to tackle bandits who have recently been aggressive in some areas of the State.

Governor Lawal gave the assurance when he visited the palace of the Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Muhammadu Bawa in Tsafe Local Government over the recent cowardly attacks.

According to a statements, Said Governor Dauda Lawal was in Tsafe local Government to commiserate with the people over the recent attacks by bandits.

He expressed concern over the spate of attacks in some areas of the State while assuring the people of his resolve to find lasting solutions to the problem.

“I am here purposely to empathise with the Emirate and people of Tsafe Local Government over the recent cowardly attacks by bandits in the area.

“I want to assure his Highness and our people that security is the top priority of my Government, the reason why we are working closely with the relevant security agencies to ensure that peace prevails in our State.

“I and other Governors had the honour of meeting with the President, and I brought to his attention the issue of insecurity in Zamfara. President Tinubu has assured me of his total support and commitment. I also requested another meeting with the President in my quest to tackle the security issues bedeviling our State.     

“The instant I was informed of the bandits’ aggression in Tsafe, I reached out to our security forces for immediate action, and a quick response was deployed.

“While the Government is working round the clock to address the problem, I urge the people of Zamfara to be steadfast in prayers. We need support and maximum cooperation from the people for peace to prevail.

The Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Muhammadu Bawa, in his remarks, sought God’s guidance and wisdom for Governor Dauda Lawal, as he showed a high level of commitment in responding to distress calls.

“I want to express gratitude and applaud the Governor for this unscheduled visit to empathize with us. I can’t hide my happiness and that of the people of Tsafe, because this is the first time that a Governor visited to commiserate with us over the attacks by bandits.

“I must also commend the swift response we got from the security and the support from the Governor. We will provide the new Government with all necessary support in its resolve to secure Zamfara State,” he said.

Governor Dauda Visits NADDC,Seeks Collaboration On Skills Acquisition For Zamfara Youths

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal on Tuesday visited the headquarters of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Abuja, where he sought more collaboration and partnership on youth empowerment.

The Senior Special Assistant Media and Publicity to the Zamfara Governor, Suleman Bala Idrisa made the disclosure in a statement issued in Gusau.

According to him,, Governor Lawal was received by the Director General of the council, Jelani Aliyu, and his top management staff.

Governor Lawal expressed the readiness of the Zamfara State Government to partner with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) to empower the youths of the state with requisite vocational skills for self-reliance and sustainability.

“Today, we are here as part of my resolve to scout for any available opportunities that would add value to our Dear State, Zamfara. My government has identified areas of concern, such as security, education, agriculture, empowerment, and youth development.

“I have learned that the NADDC has constructed an Automotive Training Centre in Gusau, which is yet to be commissioned. My government will provide you with all the necessary support to ensure the smooth commissioning and operation of the Center.  We also look forward to more positive collaborations that would make Zamfara better.”

In his remarks, the Director General of the NADDC, Jelani Aliyu said the visit by Governor Lawal was a welcome development that shows the high level of commitment from the new administration.

He expressed gratitude to the governor for giving the council a nod to set a day for the official commissioning of the Automotive Training Centre in Gusau.

Jelani further explained that the Automotive Training Center comprises equipment for training and repair of mechanical and electrical components. The equipment consisted of 4 post lifts, two post lifts, scissors lift, wheel alignment, tire removal, OBDII diagnostic, welding machine, braking testing equipment, drilling machine, and air conditioner testing machine, among others.

The Zamfara state Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has promised to tackle the insecurity, that bedeviled the socio-economic of the state, improve Agriculture, as well as creating job opportunity, Healthcare service and Human empowerment in the state.

The Governor made the declaration  today shortly after taking  oath of office and pleged of allegiance along his Deputy Malam Mani Mummuni from the State Chief Judge Mrs. Kulu Isah Aliyu at the Zamfara Trade Fair Complex in Gusau.

He the  gave assurance that his main priorities are; Security, Agriculture, Job creation, Healthcare services,  among other key sectors will be the priority of his administration.

On the area of security, Lawal specifically promised that he will collaborate with other governors in the Banditry affected states that includes Kaduna, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi and Niger Republic to ensure the Insecurity issue come to an end.

He urged Zamfara youths to lay down arms as the Government is committed to ending banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and other crimes being perpetrated by the miscreant elements.

 Dr Dare also assured that his administration will offer scholarship to Zamfara students provide free ante-natal care for pregnant women in the state.

The inauguration ceremony was well attended by the former Minister for Defence General Aliyu Muhammad Gusau (Rtd), the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the just concluded 2023 election, Isah Ashiru Kudan and his party chairman among other well wishers from across the country and beyond.
