New Posted Commissioner For women And children Affairs Zainab Gummi assumes Duty.

The newly posted Commissioner to the ministry for women and children affairs Hajiya Zainab Lawal Gummi has has assumed office.

The commissioner who was accompanied by the hundreds of relatives and political supporters was received by the Permanent Secretary of the ministry  Dr Barira Ibrahim Bagobiri and all the Directors of the ministry.

The permanent secretary assured the commissioner that, on behalf of the entire staff of the ministry they are ready to give her support and coopporation in order to promote the ministry forward

This was contained in a statement signed by public relation officer of the ministry Mallam Suleman Isah Gusau and made it available to the newsmen in Gusau the state capital.


According the statement said Hajia Zainab promised to work hand in hand with the Office of the First Lady Hajia Aisha Bello Matawallen Maradun.

Honourable Zainab who was overwhelmed by the reception accorded her said this tenure would work towards enhancing Ministry for Women and Children Affairs and other sub-sectors of the ministry.

She also assured that, she would work harder to make sure that she uplift the life of women and children in the state adding that she will be committed to improving life of women 
and children in the state.

Zainab Gummi however Commended Governor Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun for giving her another opportunity to serve on this capacity.

She described  Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle as a leader who is passionate about uplifting the standard of living of the people across the state, prestressing that she will not relant her efforts towards the success of the ministry.

CP KOLO YUSUF ASSUMES DUTY AS THE 32ND COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, ZAMFARA STATE COMMAND

The Zamfara State Police Command newly posted Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf has assumed duty as the 32nd Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police Command. 

The new Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police Command, CP Kolo Yusufu, was born in 1968 in Majiko Village of Edati Local Government Area of Niger State. He attended Katambi/Bologi Primary School from 1974 to 1979. Between 1979 to 1985, he was selected by the Niger State Government for a scholarship where successfully  completed his  Secondary School Education at the Government Technical College, Lagos State

 He holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from University of Abuja, and is a member of the respected Nigeria Bar Association (NBA). He also holds a Masters Degree in Crime Management and Prevention from Bayero University Kano, with a Doctorate in International Relations. 

Kolo Yusuf was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1988 and has served in various operational capacities including as Officer in Charge, Anti-Robbery Squad in Anambara, Kano, Kogi States and FCT among others. He was also the Commander, IGP Crack Squad Zone 1 Kano, Coordinator, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (F-SARS); and Commander Technical Intelligence Unit and Special Tactical Squad (TIU-STS) under the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB).


He attended several courses within and outside Nigeria, such as Advanced Detective course at the Police Staff College, Jos in Plateau State and  in China, Turkey and Colombia, on 
Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism, management and prevention of violent crimes, detailing and management of crime scenes, modern threat and human intelligence development by the metropolitan school of Business and management among others.

In a related development Yusuf Kolo As a seasoned crime fighter,  had led several operations that led to the unprecedented arrest/neutralized of many Bandits/Boko Haram terrorists, rescue of kidnapped victims and recoveries of arms and ammunition. 


Among of his success  records included, the arrest of terrorists who attacked the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) , the terrorists who kidnapped students of Greenfield University and Bathel secondary school, Kaduna state respectively. CP kolo Yusuf also led an operation that successfully rescued Mikel Obi's father and arrested the suspects including the syndicate leader, a woman popularly known as Hauwa. He also led the rescue of 82 years old mother of chairman of Pharmaceutical giant JUHEL and chairman Tonimas petroleum group. All the kidnappers in these high profile cases were rounded up and arrested.

CP Kolo Yusuf conferred with several awards and commendations from reputable Nigerian communities, Government Agencies and organisations. These include , the prestigious traditional title of Agu na eche Mba one of Onitsha, in Anambara State. He was also honored by the Nigerian Telecommunications LTD for his gallantry and bravery in confronting terrorists who attempted to vandalize and shut down communications  in Abuja.

He described as unfortunate and uncalled for, that the Dikios are biting the fingers that fed them. Chief Pere Johnson also called for the sacking of Colonel Dixon Dikio and his brother who doubles as his Special Adviser, Professor E.D. Dikio from his office as Interim Administrator of The Presidential Amnesty Program for insulting the person and office President Buhari. Mr Johnson Added that: “it is totally unacceptable, a gross act of disloyalty and insubordination for Dikio and his brother to be making mockery of the exalted office of the president, a father of the land and also to be insulting our presidential flagbearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmad Tinubu on social media. Zamfara Police : Rescues 12Years, 10Years Girls, After 3 Weeks In Their Captivity.

The zamfara state police command have succeeded rescue two female victims after three Weeks in their captivity.

On 20th August, 2022, Operatives of the Zamfara State Police Command while on confidence building patrol along Nya Mango   in Bungudu LGA, acted on intelligence report that led to the unconditional rescue of two (2) female hostages they are: Ubaida Hassan, a 12yrs old and Umaima Jamilu a 10yrs old  of Gidan Liman village in Kekun Waje district of Bungudu LGA. 

This contained in a statement signed by police public relation office SP Shehu Muhammad issue to the journalists in Gusau the state capital.

According to the statement said the victims who were rescued unhurt were abducted by armed bandit/terrorists on 15th July, 2022 following attack on the village. Victims were medically checked at General Hospital Bungudu, thereafter, debriefed by the Police and handed over to their families. 

The Command while reassuring the public of its commitment to the protection of lives and property, congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom, and further urges all and sundry to be security conscious and report suspicious characters to the Police or any security Agency for prompt action.

Zamfara State Govt. Approves N100 M For Schools Furnitures

In an efforts to improve the standard of  education, the zamfara state government under the leadership of Governor Bello Matawallen Maradun has approved the sum of one hundred million naira( 100 M) for funitures to both primary and secondary  schools across the state.

This was disclosed by the Chairman Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board Alhaji Abubakar Aliyu Dan madamin Maradun during the flag off distribution of chairs at Government Girls Secondary School Janyau and Gidan Roba in Gusau metropolis.

 Dan madamin Maradun  said considering the important of education in the society, the government under the leadership of Governor Matawalle has already paid all counterpart  macthing grant.


According to him,  many schools spent over 12 years without chairs  their students are sitting down on the floor during lectures. 

In their separate speeches,  the principal government girls secondary school Janyau Hajiya Sa'adatu Almajir and her counterpart  Hajiya Hawa'u Muhmmad Nafaru principal Galadima government girls secondary school Gidan Roba, thanked the chairman for the distribution of the items,  according to them is a welcome development to the educational sector.

Hajiya Sa'adatu and Hajiya Hawa'u assured the chairman that they would do everything possible for proper use of the chairs given to their schools.

Nigerian Bar Association Zamfara State Branch Conforms The Dead Of Barrister B T Aza.

The Nigerian bar association zamfara state NBA has confirm the dead of their colleaque and friend, Benedict Torngee Azza Esq. (Barr B. T. Aza) is dead, B. T. Azza died yestarday Thursday 18th day of August, 2022 at about 2200 - 2230hrs. 

This contained in a statement singed by the branch chairman Nigerian Bar association zamfara state (NBA)  Barrister Junaidu Abubakar Esq Mafara and made it available to the news men in Gusau, the capital city of zamfara state.

According the statement Barrister B T Aza died Yesterday at about 22:30hrs, while I was in my house, I received three different phone calls from our colleagues  informing me that B. T. Azza Esq. was shot dead by unknown gunmen and his body was lying on the road side along Bye pass near FRSC office, Gusau. 

Immediately after receiving the information, I rushed to the scene where I met our colleagues, Abdullahi Ibrahim Esq. and Ibrahim Sani Gusau Esq. with much number of security personnel (police and soldiers). I saw BT Azza's dead body lying in cold blood on the shoulders of the road. I also saw his accident vehicle (Lexus Jeep) by the road side. 

While we were there, FRSC's personnel came to the scene with a body bag in which the dead body was deposited and taken by the police to Yariman Bakura Specialists Hospital, Gusau where his dead body was deposited in the matuary.

According to the information, BT Azza was shot dead by 2 unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers who came on a motorcycle. The information has it that, the gunmen wanted to kidnap him at his house situate at Saminaka Area, Behind Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Headquarters, Byepass, Gusau but he was able to escaped, drove his vehicle and run to the road side. The gunmen pursued him  and shot him dead.

B. T. Azza's neighbours said they heard some gun shots in the area and after a while, they also heard loud sound of a vehicle accident. When they came out and rushed to the scene, they saw BT opens his vehicle's door, came out and walked with is legs to the main road where he sat down and he started bleeding and he died instantly.

BT was said to have been shot three times by the unknown gunmen who, after the shootings,  they took to their heel when they saw people coming to the scene.
